Tomislav Medak is a doctoral student at the Coventry University’s Centre for Postdigital Cultures. He is also a member of the theory and publishing team of the Multimedia Institute/MAMA in Zagreb, as well as an amateur librarian for the Memory of the World/Public library project, and an artist in the performing arts collective BADco.

His research interests are in technology, capitalist development and post-capitalist transition, with a particular focus on the environmental crisis. At the Institute for Political Ecology he’s currently conducting fieldwork in the framework on of his PhD “Disrupting technology — can the planetary technosphere be politically steered toward a post-capitalist metabolism?”. With his research being in part militant, he is participating in the research and outreach activities of the Institute.
