IGNITE. forum!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignfull size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/ipe.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/imagine-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7969\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What happens when environmental struggles meet disinformation, local realities, and young people ready to ask better questions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The answer is: IMAGINE. INSPIRE. IGNITE. a cross-border forum by <a href=\"https:\/\/policylab.si\/\">Policy Lab<\/a> and IPE on environmental justice and disinformation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over two days on May 15 and 16 in Kr\u0161ko, participants from Slovenia and Croatia explored:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>how disinformation spreads,<\/li><li> how it shapes environmental debates,<\/li><li> and how local communities can navigate debates shaped by mistrust, competing interests, and unequal access to power<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum opened with <strong>Watching a Super Lie Spread<\/strong>, a conversation with <strong>Ivana \u017divkovi\u0107 <\/strong>(Klimatski.hr) and <strong>Filip Muki Dobrani\u0107<\/strong> (Danes je nov den). Filip and Ivana also led practical workshops on how disinformation works in real environmental and political contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the second day, the panel <strong>Fighting Climate Disinformation<\/strong> brought together <strong>Zoran Fijav\u017e<\/strong> (Mirovni institut), <strong>Ana Brakus<\/strong> (Faktograf), journalist <strong>Monika Weiss<\/strong>, social media expert <strong>Luka Kere\u010din<\/strong>, and <strong>Jasmina Jerant <\/strong>(Eko Anhovo). The discussion focused on trust, local struggles, media responsibility, the role of science, and the unequal power relations between communities, institutions, investors, and industry \u2013 from Anhovo to the Adriatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across talks and workshops with journalists, fact-checkers, researchers, digital experts, and environmental advocates as well as working groups and informal conversations, one point kept returning: disinformation is not only about fake claims. <strong>It is about power, emotions, attention, and whose voices are heard when decisions about our environments are made.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to our guest speakers and participants!
